Steve Rosenthal (the Magistrate) – Steve Rosenthal is happy to be making his debut with Parlor Room Theater. He most recently played Mordcha, the innkeeper (second time playing the role) in Fiddler on the Roof for St. Mark’s Players. Other recent roles include an assortment of characters including Walter Mitty in A Thurber Carnival for Vienna Theatre Company as well as Israel Zolli in the 7th Street Playhouse production of Eugenio. He has also played Harpagon in The Miser for Rockville Little Theatre, Ernie Cusack in Rumors (second time playing the role) for McLean Community Players, Morris Lipkind in Ira Levin’s Cantorial for Little Theatre of Alexandria, Gorgibus in The Confines of Flattery for the Capital Fringe Festival, and Ira Stone in Laughter on the 23rd Floor (second time playing the role) for Arlington Players. Steve is something of Neil Simon specialist. Besides the roles listed above, he has played Murray the Cop in The Odd Couple, Roy Hubley in Plaza Suite, Ben Silverman in The Sunshine Boys, Manolo Costazuela in The Female Odd Couple, Jack in Broadway Bound, and Albert Donay in The Dinner Party. In his spare time, Steve works as an Economist for the Bureau of Labor Statistics. His employees love the distraction from them that his acting provides and find many opportunities to encourage him in his pursuit of roles. Steve gives thanks as always to his wife Sue for all her love and support.
