About Us

Parlor Room Theater Company is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located and performing in the Washington, D.C. area.

Our Mission

Parlor Room Theater is committed to making quality theater that is affordable and accessible.

Beginnings

Parlor Room Theater began in the summer of 2006 with the DiSalvo brothers getting their friends together and putting on a play. It was named “Parlor Room” because the first audition was held in a living room, and “Living Room Theater” did not have much of a ring to it.

We’re committed to putting on quality productions while keeping our ticket price low. Attending a play with your family or a group of friends shouldn’t be a splurge that you make once or twice a year; it should be affordable enough that you want to go again and again. Anyone can buy a ticket to our shows for only $15. You’d be hard pressed to find a cheaper ticket in town.

Most of all, we think it’s important to have fun with theater and put on plays that we love.
